Internet Complaints

 

Internet Fraud Complaint Center is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National White Collar Crime Center which addresses fraud committed over the Internet by providing an easy to use way of alerting the authorities.

 

ConsumerSentinel is a an excellent international resource and online database with lots of information on Internet scams and fraud.  It includes lots of information and the opportunity to file a complaint online.

 

ScamWatch, an agency of InterGov, lets you file a scam complaint. These services include investigation, tracking, recording and removal of fraudulent activities (scams) on the Internet. All services are available 24 hours a day and are cost free.  They process over 1,500 complaints a day.

 

The FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection offers timely Consumer Alerts and more than 150 consumer publications on a wide range of topics, including credit, advertising, e-commerce and the Internet and other marketplace issues. 

Forward SPAM to the FTC at  SPAM@UCE.GOV  (be sure to copy the header information to the e-mail - if you use Outlook, right click the e-mail without opening it and select "options" then copy the Internet Header section and paste it to the top of the e-mail before you send it).  If you want to complete a complaint form, go here.  You should also use this form to file a complaint about an online transaction involving a foreign company.
