Taken a look at your auto premium payment recently? The National
Insurance Crime Bureau believes that a substantial portion of your
premium dollar is paid to fraudsters! Until companies are required
to report the specifics as to how they measure fraud, we will never
know EXACTLY how much it's costing us. In some areas of the country
(and on some coverage) the cost is believed to be ONE-THIRD.
Who are the fraudsters?
They're not always organized crime rings; sometimes they're people
just like you and me, but they make a poor decision that effects all
of us. They can be doctors, lawyers, medical equipment suppliers,
body/repair shops, your neighbor, or even a family member.
Know someone who is committing insurance fraud? Report them!
Get mad - they're really stealing from YOU, not the insurance
company. It's your premium dollar that pays them money.
